Michelle Malkin » $%^&*!!: Civility and tolerance in the Age of Obama

Michelle Malkin » $%^&*!!: Civility and tolerance in the Age of Obama

They told us if Barack Obama were elected, the nation would come together. Souls would be fixed. Spirits would be healed. Public discourse would be elevated. Welcome to civility and tolerance in the Age of Obama:

Well said, Michelle!

I am flabbergasted by the dangerous liberal responses to things they don’t agree with. As a very opinionated person, I am now afraid (almost) to speak my mind lest I be smeared by some famous person on the internet, have people bussed to my home, be called nasty names on television or even hunted down by Homeland Security.

What is America coming to?!!

ABC: Obama ‘Unaware of Tea Parties’

ABC: Obama ‘Unaware of Tea Parties’

“The White House says the president is unaware of the tea parties and will hold his own event today,” ABC’s Dan Harris said on “Good Morning America” on April 15.

Hmm.. either the man is being downright rude and insulting or .. he’s an idiot. What do you think?

Not Yours to Give

Not Yours to Give

One day in the House of Representatives a bill was taken up appropriating money for the benefit of a widow of a distinguished naval officer. Several beautiful speeches had been made in its support. The speaker was just about to put the question when Crockett arose:

“Mr. Speaker–I have as much respect for the memory of the deceased, and as much sympathy for the suffering of the living, if there be, as any man in this House, but we must not permit our respect for the dead or our sympathy for part of the living to lead us into an act of injustice to the balance of the living. I will not go into an argument to prove that Congress has not the power to appropriate this money as an act of charity. Every member on this floor knows it.

America, America

America, America
A Poem/song for Our Troops
By Chaotic Ramblings (Alisha Christian)

Hello America, how are you?
Are you getting enough to eat?
Are you safe in your bed at night?
Are you getting enough sleep?

Are you watching your favorite TV shows?
Hanging out with your friends?
Listening to your favorite music?
Grabbing burgers for lunch again?

Did you get to go shopping today?
Take your children to the park?
Are you going to catch your favorite movie this weekend?
Are you scared of the dark?

America, America
Are you really still there?
Did we do something wrong?
To make you stop daring
To make you stop caring
To make you give up on your own?

We shed some tears and keep on going
Cuz we have a job to do
We’re standing on the front lines
Bleeding and dying
Fighting a war for you

Bombs exploded all around me last night
As I lay my head down to sleep
And as I went off to work this morning
I saw people laying dead in the street.

We tried to save a family today
But we didn’t see the bomber in time.
I held that little girl
As she screamed for her Mommy
And tried to shield her eyes

America, America
Are you really still there?
Did we do something wrong?
To make you stop daring
To make you stop caring
To make you give up on your own?

We shed some tears and keep on going
Cuz we have a job to do
We’re standing on the front lines
Bleeding and dying
Fighting a war for you

Last week I watched some TV
And you’ll never guess what I saw.
I saw a man and a woman
Telling the world
That this was all our fault

Now, I don’t know about you
But I shook my head and sighed
I gritted my teeth, said a prayer
And spit to the side

Don’t they know that words can hurt?
That words can win or lose a war?
Has everyone back home forgotten?
Forgotten what we’re fighting for?

America, America
Are you really still there?
Did we do something wrong?
To make you stop daring
To make you stop caring
To make you give up on your own?

We shed some tears and keep on going
Cuz we have a job to do
We’re standing on the front lines
Bleeding and dying
Fighting a war for you
